Gerald Penz
Gerald Penz ist ein international renommierter Spezialist für die operative Geschichte der k.u.k. Luftfahrtruppe. Sein Arbeitsschwerpunkt ist die Militäraviatik an der Südwestfront. Dabei spielen die Fliegerkompanien innerhalb der komplexen Organisationsstruktur der 11. Armee (Tirol), 10. Armee (Kärnten) und besonders der 5. Armee (Isonzo) eine zentrale Rolle. Eine umfangreiche Bibliographie und seine regelmäßige Tätigkeit als Referent bei Symposien und Fachveranstaltungen im In- und Ausland weisen ihn als einen der profundesten Kenner der österreichisch-ungarischen Militärluftfahrt aus. Gerald Penz lebt und arbeitet in Wien.
