Ink

Ink colours have been used for several thousand years as a particularly durable writing material. The colour of black ink contains soot pigments with very high opacity and shellac soap ensures its adhesion to the paper. Ink dries quickly and the finest line errors can hardly be corrected. During the final drawing on a quiet Advent night, hand and mind are always in a strange balance.

Silhouettes

Starting from stencils for porcelain painting in the Far East, the silhouette developed, and from it the silhouette cut. 

The scenic shadow combines an authentic image with the power of one's own imagination. 

A story emerges all by itself.
