The venerable Kajetanerkirche in the Kaiviertel long belonged to the Theatines, but they were not theater people. Many visitors came for the holy staircase. Only a stone's throw away lived Doctor Paracelsus and there has always been a hospital here, where Salzburgers are still well looked after. St. Peter's is not far away and a long lonely path leads up to Hohensalzburg Fortress.
 
Advent is quieter, but lights are burning everywhere and people are preparing for Christmas. It has always been like this at the venerable Kajetanerkirche in the Kaiviertel.
