It's a bit spooky, this house in the middle of a large forest. It lies at the foot of the Untersberg and somewhere here Emperor Barbarossa is said to sleep while his beard grows longer and longer. In any case, there have always been many mountain pines in this forest. An oil is extracted from its branches and an invigorating drink can be made from the cones, shall we say. That's how the name came about. A chef now lives here and you could fill your stomach - if you could find him, the Latschenwirt.
 
Santa Claus also likes the peace and seclusion there and therefore spends the whole year in his small apartment building. But when the time comes again, he sets off punctually with reindeer and sleigh and has always found his way home.
