This house in the middle of a big forest is a little bit scary. It lies at the foot of the Untersberg and somewhere here Emperor Barbarossa is said to be sleeping while his beard grows longer and longer. In any case, there have always been many mountain pines in this forest. From their branches an oil is extracted and the cones can be used to make, let's say, an invigorating drink. This is how the name came about. In the meantime, a cook lives here and it would probably be a good idea to fill your belly - if only you could find him, the Latschenwirt tavern. 
 Santa Claus also likes the peace and seclusion there very much and therefore he spends the whole year in his little garconniere. But when it's time again, he sets off punctually with reindeer and sleigh, and has so far still found his way home.
